“The tour is an eye opener. It has open our eyes to the fact that the governor’s good deeds has already speak for him outside the state.
“We didn’t expect that the governor’s Presidential ambitions will receive such massive boosts in such a short time. It took little or no efforts from us to convince the people that our governor deserves to run. Apparently his style of governance has spoken volume for him ahead of us.
“So far, it is glaring that the people across the country are yearning for him. We are just waiting for the time to come. Judging by our interactions and responses across the states, the governor will have no problem clinching the party tickets when the time comes.’
Kolawole however described as ignorance those aversed to the state legislators undertaking such tour on behalf of the governor, “The legislative arms enjoy a good and cordial relationship with the executives.
“Haven perused the governor’s performances, it beholds on us to give him the nod and assurance run. We are not the only legislators canvassing for their governor’s. Ekiti Assembly has followed our footstep and they are urging governor Fayemi to contest too.
“We have not breached any constitution. Out of our conviction, we are asking the governor to contest. We took the tour to show him we believe in our words. And no better ways to show him that we believe he can win, than to kickstart the process ourself. And from what we have seen, we have no regrets.End.
