The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon Kingsley Fanwo has assured of total collaboration and support to the Nigeria Association Of Women Journalists (NAWOJ).

Hon Fanwo gave this assurance in his office in Lokoja, as he received the chairperson and other Executive Council members of the union.

The Hon. Commissioner described the administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as one that prioritizes issues that affect women and children, assuring them that it would not be difficult for NAWOJ to work in synergy with the administration.

He therefore, craved the union’s supports to all programmes and policies and also help in propagating all the laudable projects, programmes, policies of the administration.

In her speech, the Chairperson of NAWOJ, Comrade Stella Edoka, commended Alhaji Usman Ododo for his unwavering commitment towards infrastructural development in the state. She also commended Hon. Fanwo for discharging his duties diligently and for the revolutionary developments in the Ministry of Information and Communications, describing him as the father of the professional body.

Speaking further, Comrade Edoka highlighted some of the mandate of the Union which includes; protection of the rights of children and women, helping the Government to propagate its policies as regard gender matters and many others.

The Union pledged total loyalty and unwavering commitment to the Government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, pledging that NAWOJ Kogi State was ready to collaborate with Ministry of Information to further propagate the rights and values of the society.
