DAY 1: Leke Abejide Foundation Training for Women Cooperative Societies in Kogi West Kicks -Off in Isanlu

The two -days capacity training for KOGI West Women in Coperstiv Society sponsored by the House of Representatives member for Yagba Federal constituency, Hon. Leke Abejide has kick started.

The training started undertake through his Foundation, Leke ABEJIDE FOUNDATION started on Friday at the Leke Abejide ICT centre in Isanlu, headquarters of Yagba Federal constituency.

The workshop was declared open by Hon. Shola Adebola Samuel, DG LEKE ABEJIDE FOUNDATION, the organizer of the Program.

Hon. Adebola urged the participants to maximise the opportunity to learn how to better manage resources to be released to the cooperative societies.

Speaking at the event, the coordinator/ Chairman of Board of directors, Hon. S F. Ibitey said the training is to equiped the women on loan disbursement to women cooperatives society across Kogi West sponsored by the Yagba Federal lawmaker.

He said the basic objective of the program is to train the stakeholders, leaders, members, managers and personnel of cooperative societies on the complete understanding of cooperatives in terms of concept, policy, philosophy, principles of disbursement.

The training will also take them through the management skills required for the successful formation, business strategies, funding, analysis, control, planning, implementation, credit, marketing and organizational management of different forms of cooperatives as viable enterprises are emphasized for the formalities of operations.

The training methodology he said will combines discussions and illustrations to cooperative societies, participants will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of the topics.

The emphasis is on the practical application of the topics and as a result participant will be adequately equiped with both the ability and the confidence to apply the techniques learned duringthe workshop.
