Forum of Okun Media Professionals has applauded the outstanding performance of the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shaibu Abubakar Audu.
The group while reacting to the retention of the Minister by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Wednesday’s Cabinet reshufflement, said the opportunity given to the Minister to continue his good work for the nation is a reward for hard work, dedication and commitment to national development.
“As the Honourable Minister of Steel Development representing Kogi State in the Federal Executive Council, we are happy with the tireless effort to ensure the speedy resuscitation of the moribund Ajaokuta Steel Company. This effort is not only appreciated, commendable and valuable but a step in the right direction, towards producing employment opportunities for the teaming youths of Kogi and Nigerians at large.
“We express our gratitude to our indefatigable President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for demonstrating the political will to revive the Company and for the confidence reposed in Prince Shaibu Abubakar Audu.
“We call on the Federal Government to expedite action of the revamping of the Steel Company which is long overdue as it is panacea to the economic development of Nigeria.”
