KOSODA PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO ALH MOUKTAR ATIMAH, EXECUTIVE SECRETARY SEMA
The Executive Secretary Kogi State Office of Disability Affairs (KOSODA), Hon. Nasir Yakubu Abdulhakeem, led his team on courtesy visit to the office of the Executive Secretary State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Alh Mouktar Atimah.
In his opening remarks, the Executive Secretary KOSODA, Hon. Nasir Yakubu Abdulhakeem, said the purpose of the visit was to explore ways of Collaboration and robust partnership with the Agency.
The Executive Secretary KOSODA appreciated the SEMA Boss, Alh Mouktar Atimah, for identifying with them, describing his appointment as the round peg in a round hole.
In his Welcome address, the Executive Secretary SEMA, Alh Mouktar Atimah, applauded the KOSODA, describing the visit as well-timed. He added that his Agency and KOSODA would work in synergy to achieve desired goals and assured the team that people with disabilities have been considered in the sheme of thing, especially those displaced by flood disaster received relief materials at the various Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps.
He further stated that His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, has charged SEMA to deliver effective services in the areas of adequate preparedness, mitigation plans and response mechanism to reduce impacts of any forms of disasters.
He thanked KOSODA team and promised enhanced collaboration.
