The 2024 Itakete Ide Day Celebration therefore reflects on the hample opportunity essential to recognize and celebrate the efforts of those who have worked tirelessly to ensure that peace and harmony prevail in the Itakete community.

Hon Kingly Femi Fanwo, a prominent figure and illustrious Son of the community passionately describes this year 2024 Itakete Ide Day Celebration as a symbol of unity and collective pride, which as re emphasized the importance of coming together to honor their shared ancestry. As the festivities unfold, the echoes of tradition resound through the streets, weaving a tapestry of customs and rituals that connect the past with the present.
On the 2024 Takete Ide Day celebration, the community comes alive with vibrant colors, joyful music, and delicious food. From older women traditional dances to cultural performances by young ladies, the day was filled with festivities that honor the heritage of the community. The People of the community from all works of lives gather to showcase traditional attire, and participate in cultural displays that have been passed down through generations.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon Kingsley Femi Fanwo, at the occasion commended Governor Usman Ododo for his unwavering commitment towards infrastructural development across the state.
The information and Communication Commissioner used the occasion to appeals to Governor Ododo for more government presence in his home town, particularly for urgent attention on the access roads to Takete Ide Amuro.
Hon Fanwo described Takete-Ide Day as the celebration of the community’s rich cultural heritage, calling on the people of the community to remain united and continue to be honest, industrious, and transparent.
Also Speaking at the 2024 Itakete Ide Day Celebration, The Olude of Takete Ide, HRH Oba Philip Ebilakun expressed his gratitude to Almighty God for making the day a reality, appreciating the community for their maximum support, describing the celebration as a symbol of peace and unity.
The President of Takete Ide Progressive Union, (TIPU) Engr Dare Fiki appreciated His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ododo, for appointing one of their illustrious, and
industrious sons as a Commissioner, commending him for the palliative on their roads, appealing for complete rehabilitation of the roads for better movement of commuters.
The TIPU President described Takete Ide Day as a celebration of love and togetherness, adding that they are committed to moving the community forward, stressing that the presentation of awards to four gallant youths who defended the community against an attack was a testimony that more awards await indigenes for exemplary service to the community.
In attendance were The Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Suleiman Abdulrazak; the Hon Commissioner for Works, Engr Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf; Commissioner for Education, Hon Wemi Jones; Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, Hon Sunday Faleke; Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon Acharu Okpanachi; Commissioner for Commerce, Mohammed Muktah Shuabu; The Alamuro of Amuroland, HRM Alfred Modupe Aiyedogbon and other traditional rulers, religious leaders, successful business magnates, technocrats and people from various endeavors.
