CLAIMS: 300-level male student, studying law in an unnamed university in Kogi State, has allegedly impregnated the wife of his institution’s vice chancellor.”

VERIFICATION:

There are currently 5 universities in Kogi State, and their VC’s are:
1. Federal University Lokoja – Professor Olayemi Akinwumi.
2. Prince Abubakar Audu University, Ayingba – Prof. Mrs Marietu Tenuche.
3. Salem University – Prof. Akubo Alewo Johnson.
4. Confluence University of Science Technology (CUSTECH) – Professor Abdulrahman Asipita Salami
5. Kogi State University, Kabba – Professor Kehinde Imisi Eniola.

I will start with the oldest.
PAAU: The VC of Prince Abubakar Audu, University Anyigba is a woman, so automatically the story can’t be about her. But for emphasis sake, Prof. Marietu Tenuche was born 29 September, 1959.
According to Wikipedia, “She is married to pharmacist Professor Muhammed Tenuche, and they have four children.”

FUL: The VC of Federal University Lokoja is a male. Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, 60 years old.
On February 15, 2021 when he resumed as the institution VC, Akinwumi openly spoke about his wife in his inaugural speech and I quote, “I have been married to my heartthrob for 31 years and we are blessed with three children. My eldest daughter is married, and I should be a grandfather very soon.” (See full speech on School website.)

The university’s website even celebrated one of his children’s convocation from a private university in the South West a few years ago.
Aside Akinwumi’s marriage status, the Law program of the school just started this year 2024 meanwhile the post refers to a 300 level student. There is nobody from the university that is in Law 300 level.

Salem University. The VC of Salem University Lokoja is a male. Born April 13 1973.

According to his profile published on ephemeralnews in 2022, “Prof. Akubo, a Pastor, is married to Sophia Johnson Akubo, also a Pastor. They are blessed with five children – Ojima Jesse, Joshua Ojonimi, Dominion Iye, Enyo-Ojo Hallel and Chubiyojo Royalty.”
Certainly, the post cannnot be about him even though the university has a Law degree program.

Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Osara, and Kogi State University, Kabba. Both universities are very young and don’t have law programs yet. However, let’s do a brief on them.

CUSTECH VC, Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu was born 55 years ago precisely on the 29th of January 1969.
The university established 20th August 2020 has no law faculty.

KSU, KABBA: Prof. K.I.T Eniola, born on February 11, 1970 is the VC.
The school established on June 26, 2023 has not even reach 300 level neither does it offer any Law courses.

VERDICT: The story does not fit into the character of any of the people (or their spouses) heading the 5 universities in Kogi State.

It is completely fake and lack credibility. A false narrative pushed out to deceive gullible readers.
