“YOU GAVE NIGERIA AN ENDURING LEGACY” – KABBA VARSITY VC HAILS NUJ @70
The Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Kabba, Professor K.I.T. Eniola fNSM, extends heartfelt congratulations to the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) on its 70th anniversary.
Professor Eniola commended the NUJ for its enduring legacy and significant contributions to the growth of journalism in Nigeria. He also praised the leadership of its president, Comrade Yahya Hassan Abdullahi, noting that under his guidance, the Union has championed press freedom, truth, ethical reporting, and the overall development of the journalism profession.
He further acknowledged the pivotal role of the NUJ in shaping the media landscape, ensuring that the press remains a key pillar of democracy and national progress.
Professor Eniola assured the Union that Kogi State University, Kabba holds journalism in high regard and remains committed to qualitative training for both students and practitioners. “We are proud of the strides we’re making, particularly within our Department of Mass Communication. Our goal is to equip both students and professionals with specialized knowledge, skills, local and global perspectives needed to excel.”
The Vice Chancellor looks forward to continued collaboration with the NUJ to further advance the profession and uphold the values that shape our nation.
