Eid-El-Fitr: Fanwo Felicitates With Gov Ododo, Muslim Faithfuls
The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo has felicitated with the Chief Servant of the state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the Muslim faithful on the occasion of the Eid-El-Fitr.
The Eid-El-Fitr marks the successful end of this year’s Ramadan fasting.
Hon. Fanwo, in a Sallah message on Sunday, charged the Muslims to maintain the good deeds as taught and practised during the Holy month of Ramadan.
“You shouldn’t forget the important lessons of the Ramadan, which includes improving bond with one another and the less privileged in our society. Endeavour to show love, maintain peace, and live in harmony with one another.” Hon. Fanwo charged.
He urged them to use the period to reach out to one another, especially the less privileged, noting that it is a season to show love for bountiful rewards from Allah.
The commissioner appealed to the Muslims to continue to live harmoniously and peacefully with one another irrespective of tribe, religion or political differences.
He enjoined them to also use the medium to pray for Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole, noting that the place of prayer cannot be under estimated.
He prayed to Allah to reward the Muslims for their sacrifices and self-discipline during the Holy month of Ramadan. “You have sacrificed your time, denied yourselves of foods, and sanctified yourselves within the last 29 to 30 days as commanded by Allah. That’s a lot of commitment and self-discipline. It’s my earnest prayer that Allah rewards you all greatly.” He prayed.
Hon. Fanwo reiterated Governor Ododo’s unwavering commitment towards infrastructural development across the three senatorial districts of the state, assuring the citizenry of transformative leadership, even beyond what the state is currently experiencing.
He further maintained that the citizenry should be rest assured of their safety as the security of lives and property remains a top priority of the Chief Servant of the state.
