Young Entrepreneur, Dare Mathew Joins APC with Hundreds of Defectors Across Opposition Lines
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State has recorded a major boost as renowned young entrepreneur and business tycoon, Dare Mathew, popularly known as O.G Bobo, officially joined the party alongside over 150 decampees from various opposition parties.
Also joining the APC were notable grassroots leaders including Bolaji Oluwaseun, Emmanuel Ajayi Femi, and several others from across the local government area.
The grand decamping event, which took place amidst cheers and jubilation, witnessed the presence of party faithfuls, leaders, and executives from the local to ward levels.
In a heartwarming show of solidarity and compassion, Dare Mathew also used the occasion to empower widows and widowers within the community through his generous donations of food stuff and cash. The singular act further demonstrate his commitment to social welfare and support for Governor Ododo’s people-focused policies.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dare Mathew expressed his admiration for the ongoing transformation in Kogi State under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, which attracted him in joining the party, commending him for his proactive governance, prompt payment of workers’ salaries, and visible infrastructure development across the state.
He acknowledged the efforts of Governor Usman Ododo in the payment of WAEC, Jamb and mock exams for all students in public schools in the entire state, pointed out that the initiative has further relief the parents in the payment of those fees.
“Governor Usman Ododo has rewritten the story of Kogi State for good,” Dare stated. “What we are witnessing today is purposeful leadership, and I am proud to align myself with this vision. My joining the APC is not just political—it is a call to contribute meaningfully to the progress of our dear state.”
Hon. Solomon Jembawondo, the APC Kabba/Bunu Local Government Party Chairman, welcomed the new members with open arms. In his speech, he lauded Dare Mathew’s decision and commended his philanthropic gesture.
