KDU elects Kabiru Fadile as President – General to lead new exco
At an extra ordinary Congress of Kabba Development Union which took place on Saturday at the KDU secretariat in Kabba , a brand new executive to pilot the affairs of the union for the next four years has been elected .
This was after the congress unanimously dissolved the Engr Emmanuel Ajibero led eight- year executive which tenure has since expired in December 2024.
The Obadofin , Chief Segun Areh and the Obajana of Owe land Chief Hon Funsho Olorunfemi who led the conduct of the congress went on memory lane of the history of the union, disclosed that the congress was called to correct the noticeable aberrations that took place in terms of the time and how the leadership of the union changes , pointed out that it used to take place in December and it is often in cooperation with all the 14 families in Kabba .
The duo of Obadofin and Obajana disclosed that KDU leadership change has never been a -one person affair but in conjunction with all the families in Kabba .

Speaking after the election, KDU President General , Barr Kabiru Fadile who said the task of the executive is to work towards the development of Kabba ,added that the union’s role amongst others is to complement the traditional institution’s effort in developing Kabba.
He particularly praised the developmental efforts of Gov Usman Ododo in Kabba town and Kogi State in general.
He pledged the loyalty of the new executive members to the Obaro, Obadofin and Obajemu , just as he assured that there will be cooperation and unity .

It would be recalled that the newly inaugurated President General of KDU , Barr Kabiru Fadile was one time Chairman of Kabba / Bunu Local Government Area and currently the Chairman of Muslim Community in Kabba .
