KDU Gets New Leadership, as Emmanuel Bobinihi emerges President-General
Urge the general public to disregard the purported election held differently from the recognized KDU body
The umbrella body for the development of Oweland, the Kabba Development Union (KDU) has conducted elections for the emergence of New leadership with Mr Emmanuel Bobinihi as the President-General of the Union.
In a press statement signed by the outgoing President-General, Engr. Emmanuel Ajibero made available to newsmen in Kabba, described the election as the most peaceful with modern technologies that allowed all members across the world to participate in the process.
“The Kabba Development Union has just concluded the election to usher in a new National Executive Council.
The election process, which commenced in February 2025, came to a conclusion today with online voting.
He said the process was monitored by the KDU BOT members, community leaders, clan heads, politicians, and prominent Owe sons and daughters within and outside the country.
He said the leadership of the Union decided to opt for a technological-driven process that is seamless and also to allow delegates from various branches to cast their votes since they are all financial members.
“Delegates were drawn from the home branch and other branches of the union within and outside the country as stipulated in the KDU constitution”
He noted that the union is surprised to see people who are not saddled with any responsibilities within the Union mobilize thugs to destroy the KDU Secretariat, stressing that those who are to provide security for the people are the ones behind the ugly incident.
The Returning Officer, Mr Emmanuel Adamu, while declaring the results, commended the peaceful conduct of the delegates and pointed out that the process of the election shows that the Kabba community and KDU will go places.
He announced that the following national executive members as the new leadership of the KDU
1. President General – Emmanuel Bobinihi.
2. Home Vice President 1 – Mr. Adekunle Fagbemi
3. Home vice president-2: Mr. Sunday Ezekiel
4. Secretary-General – Kehinde Owohunwa
5. Treasurer – Hon (Mrs) Bisi Yusuf
6. Financial Secretary- Pastor John Ibiejemite
7. Woman Rep 1 – Mrs Mary Jerome
8. Woman Rep 2 – Mrs Victoria Daniel
9. Social secretary- Mr Sola Fashagba
10. Vice President North – Hon (chief ) Moses Ajibade
11. Vice President South – Princess Grace Oladepe Omonale
12. Auditor – Prince Adebayo Atomode
12. Legal Adviser – Barrister Segun Modehin
13. Ex-officio members – Comrade Augustine Ajibade, Mr. Mike Friday, and Mr. Yemi Mathew.
He used the opportunity to appreciate all who participated in the election in one capacity or the other while congratulating the new national Exco members and wishing them success as they commit to serving the community in their various capacities.
