SS3 student killed two days before Final Exam in Kogi community
Kola Sunday, an SS3 student of United Comprehensive College, Odo-Ere, headquarters of Yagba West local government area of Kogi state, was reportedly killed by suspected herders.
Sunday’s sudden murder denied him the opportunity to write his first paper for the West Africa Examination Council, scheduled for Monday, May 5th, 2025.
The incident was said to have happened on Saturday when the victim and his two other siblings were tending to crops on the family’s farm in the community.
Though the reason behind the attack is yet to be established, the suspected herders reportedly shot at the three young boys at the farm.
While the other two escaped, and managed to make it home alive, Sunday was not lucky as the bullets of their attackers hit his head, killing him before help could come by.
