“You’re a stabilizer” – Gov Ododo celebrates former Speaker, Matthew Kolawole at 60
Governor Usman Ododo has congratulated the former Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mathew Kolawole on attaining 60 years of age, pointing out that his stabilizing role when Kogi State was about to be turned upside down will not be forgotten.
Ododo represented by the Special Adviser on Security to the State Government, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd) made this known during the 60th birthday thanksgiving service of the former Speaker at Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Igbala in Kabba, headquarters of Kogi West senatorial district.
The Governor who said his labour of love during former Governor Yahaya Bello’s tenure would not be forgotten, urged Kolawole to continue to use his time and resources to serve the people, saying this is the best time to do more for the people.
Ododo also promised to continue to ensure that dividends of democracy get to all the nooks and crannies of Kogi State, noting that township road projects have started in Aiyetoro, Mopa and Egbe towns.
The Governor who also disclosed that he holds the civil servants in high esteem and will continue to prioritize their welfare, prayed God to grant the celebrant many happy returns and for his heart desires to be granted.
Speaking, the celebrant, Prince Mathew Kolawole who rendered many songs to appreciate God’s favour, expressed appreciation to Governor Usman Ododo for his leadership role and former Gov Yahaya Bello who ensured he had good records of achievements during his seven years Speakership.
“I will forever be grateful to former Governor Bello for all his support during my tenure.”
He thanked the Kabba/Bunu/ Ijumu representative in the National Assembly, Hon Salman Idris amongst many others who donated to the development of the church.
