Kogi Education commissioner inspects schools, ensures smooth conduct of NABTEB exams

The Honorable Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB, led a team of officials from the Ministry of Education on a comprehensive inspection of schools across the state. The primary objective of the visit was to assess the condition of school infrastructure and facilities, ensuring that Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo’s commitment to improving the education sector in the state is upheld.

During the inspection, the team visited various schools, including Abdulazeez Atta Memorial College (AAMCO), Ebira Community Secondary School in Okene, and Government Technical College in Oboroke. The Commissioner interacted with students and teachers, highlighting the government’s dedication to providing a conducive learning environment for all.

In addition to inspecting schools, the Commissioner also monitored the ongoing National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) exams at Government Technical College in Oboroke. He praised the conduct of the exams and urged students to remain focused on their studies. The state government’s commitment to free education and examination fees for public schools, including WAEC, NABTEB, JAMB, BECE, Common Entrance, and Basiic Six Examination was reiterated during the visit.

The Commissioner’s proactive approach to monitoring schools and ensuring the smooth conduct of exams underscores the government’s efforts to prioritize education and empower students across the state. The commitment to quality education is at the forefront of the state’s agenda, with initiatives aimed at transforming the education sector for the betterment of all.
