DISCLAIMER! DISCLAIMER! DISCLAIMER!

My attention has been drawn to a misleading and damaging publication by People’s Gazette titled “EXCLUSIVE: Nigerian Army General Akerejola’s family accuses him of looting soldiers’ budget to run private firms, buy million-dollar U.S. property.”

The article falsely claims that I, Major Olafimihan Akerejola (Rtd), authored a petition to anti-graft agencies accusing Major General Erema Akerejola of corruption and financial misconduct.

I categorically state that I had no involvement whatsoever in the writing or submission of any such petition. The claims linking me to this report are completely false, unfounded, and misleading. I was not consulted or contacted by the publishers before the story was released.

I hereby dissociate myself entirely from the contents of the publication and urge the Nigerian Army, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, media platforms, and the general public to disregard the story in its entirety as it relates to me.

This disclaimer serves to correct the record and protect my name from further misrepresentation.

Signed,
Major Olafimihan Akerejola (Rtd).
