We’re Making Efforts to Rescue abducted Omala Monarch – Kogi Govt

The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo said the state government is making frantic efforts to secure the release of the abducted traditional ruler.

Fanwo statement is coming on the heel of the abduction of 2nd class traditional ruler and District head of Bagaji Odo in Omala Local Government Area of Kogi state, HRM David Wada who was kidnapped on Monday while returning from a neighborhood.

Fanwo said, “The attention of the Kogi State Governor has been drawn to the unfortunate abduction of a royal father in Omala Local Government Area of the State.

“The Governor of the State, Ahmed Usman Ododo has directed security agencies to ensure quick rescue of the victim and apprehend the abductors.

“Security agencies have also been tasked to continuously police flashpoints to reduce incidents like this to the barest minimum. The Government of Kogi State will continue to prioritize the safety of lives and property of residents and make the State inhabitable to criminals.

“Residents are urged to volunteer credible intelligence to security agencies to assist ongoing security efforts at rescuing the victim.

“In line with our public communication integrity, we will keep the public informed of updates on this matter.”
