ABU Alumni Elects Kogi Governor CoS As Chairman

The Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor,  Pham Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku has emerged the Chairman of the Kogi State branch of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, (ABU), Alumni Association.

In an election conducted at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Press Centre, Lokoja, Saturday, Pharm Asuku emerged unopposed.

In his acceptance speech,  the Chairman promised to do his best to move the Alumni Association to greater heights.

He said he will fall back on the goodwill and wisdom of the elders of the association to pilot the affairs of the association.

He called on members to be supportive of the leadership of the Alumni, stressing that it is only with their support that the association can move forward.

He assured of the commitments of his team to always promote the best interest of Ahmadu  Bello University and equally work for the unity of the members of the Association.

Others elected are Ehimony Bala Jagun, General Secretary,  Dr Zakari Usman, Vice Chairman,  Okwoli Friday Usman, Asst Gen Secretary, Babatunde David Financial Secretary and Haruna Omieza Vice Chairman Central.

Also elected are Abdullahi Garba Bako,  Vice Chairman West, Emmanuel Godwin S. B, Vice Chairman East, Abubakar Fatima Treasurer, Onoja Augustine Abutu Auditor, Olajungun Tosin Samson Public/ Social Secretary,  Sani Daniel, Ex-official, Adams Yahaya, Ex-official and Alhassan Ibrahim Welfare Officer
