FCE Okene Elects Japa COEASU Chairman, As Management Harps On Unity

Comrade Muhammed Japa has emerged the chairman, Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU), Federal College of Education, Okene Branch.

Mr. Japa was declared winner in the last week election held at the College auditorium precided over by Dr. Innocent Ene and Dr. Ibrahim Mosimabele as electoral officials.

According to a statement by the College Director of Information, Abdulrahman Jibril made available to newsmen on Sunday, Japa was duly elected with a total votes of 214 to win the Chairmanship position ahead of Dr. Ismail Azeez who scored 188 votes.

“The position of the Vice Chairman went to Uzoma Janet who polled 202 votes ahead of Oba Unoiza who scored 197 votes, while the position of Secretary was won by Ibikunle Babatunde with 199 votes.

“Other winners includes; Obakachi Adeiza Abraham as Assistant Secretary, Omeiza Moses Eneji as Treasurer, Achanya Salifu as Financial Secretary and Zubair Adams Yahaya as Director of Social, Ohiane Adams as the Public Relations Officer and Dr. Yakusak Samuel as the Internal Auditor.”

The statement quoted the management of the school eulogizing the newly elected officials of the Union, urging them to use their new responsibility to sustain the existing peace in the institution.

“The Management of Federal College of Education (FCE) Okene charged the newly elected executive members of the College branch of Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU), to extends the hands of fellowship to every members of the union in order to work together for the growth and development of the institution.”
