To address water scarcity in his Constituency, the member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Hon. Idirissu Lawal has commenced the drilling of boreholes in Jimgbe and Iresu Are communities.
The borehole when completed will be powered by Solar panel.
Hon. Lawal said he saw the need for water in every society as most essential to life, which necessitated him to facilitate the quick installation of Solar panel boreholes to the two communities of Jimgbe along Ajaokuta Lokoja road and Iresu Are in Km18 along Ajaokuta/Adogo road.
“The projects were sited to address the water needs of the benefiting communities. It is an assurance than when completed it will put an end to the water -borne diseases, and the child labour of fetching water from the streams.
The Federal lawmaker maintained that the project was in line with his campaign promises, assuring that such projects will be reciprocated across the constituency.
He urged benefitting communities to guard and protect those facilities in their domain and live in peace so as to attract more developments, saying there can be no meaningful development if there is no peace and security.
He said communities living in peace and harmony with one another will benefits more facilities that will add value to the lives of the people.
The Yemi Awo of Jimgbe community thanked the lawmaker for coming to their aides at this crucial period of water scarcity, prayed that Almighty Allah will guide and protect the Member, as he has always being their for them.
