Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu APC Commence process to Reconciles aggrieved members

Ahead of the 2023 general elections in Nigeria, the stakeholders of the ruling All Progressive Congress in Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency have resolved to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party in order to reposition the platform for the task of winning all the elections in 2023.

This was contained in a resolution reached at a stakeholders meeting convened by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones held, in his conference hall in Lokoja.

Speaking at the event, the award winning commissioner said as one of the leaders in the party, it has become expedient for him and few other leaders to put heads together to find a way of placating individuals and groups who might be aggrieved as a result of the outcome of the party primaries held recently.

He said it is natural for someone to be aggrieved because things didn’t go the way he or she wants them to, stressing that as a true party man, it is time to put everything that might have happened behind and work for the progress of the party.

He asked a rhetoric questions that as a party in the federal Constituency, “where are we, are we where we are suppose to be or what is our plans to get to where we are going” he asked

Different speakers at the meeting opined that there are issues but it is not insurmountable, but urged the appropriate authority to act fast to remedy the situation, noting that the party system should be allowed to function without any undue influence.

The stakeholders said since the challenges confronting each of the local governments differ, there is a need to set up different reconciliation committees to address those issues that may be peculiar to them.

They also harped on the reward system of the party whereby those that work should be rewarded accordingly.

They also agreed to hold meetings regularly where more people will be involved, especially from ward levels.
