Kogi State Government and the Kogi State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KOSCCIMA) has commenced preparation for hosting an international trade fair in Lokoja the state Capital.
The international trade and business event scheduled for the first week of November 2020 is being organized to show case and promote the aboundant commercial resources in the state.
The State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo who is chairing the Trade fair planing Committee said the event is ripe for the State and will go a long way in promoting the state economics by attracting investors to the state.
Fanwo who made this known on Tuesday when he hosted the Kogi State Chamber Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KOSCCIMA) led by her Deputy President I, Abdullahi Ibrahim Victor as they presented proposal to partner with Kogi State Newspaper Corporation (The Graphics Newspaper) to launch and covene the maiden Made In Kogi Trade Fair, 2020.
According to him, “The strength of Kogi State is not limited to mineral resources and geographical location, but also in innovation, which also really needs marketing and exposures.”
Fanwo said the idea is welcomed, assured KOCCIMA of the support of his ministry and that of the State Government as it is in-line with the Economic Blueprints of Governor Yahaya Bello to revive Kogi State.
“It is timely now that all organizations and government are working hard to revive economic hardships caused by Covid-19, and the Information and Communications Ministry will in few days launch the Kogi State Business Directory Inventory.”
The Chamber state president, Mr Victor Abdul said all the needed preparations are in place for the takeoff of the Trade fare.
The trade fare which is tainted to be a World-class is in partnership with Kogi State, The Graphics newspaper and The Chambers of Commerce, Industry Mine And Agriculture KOCEMA.
