The Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has promised to embark on massive infrastructural development of the state, so as to address infrastructural deficit owing to past neglect.
The governor stated this on Thursday while inspecting the ongoing rehabilitation work on collapsed bridge within the Lokoja metropolis, which has affected economic activities in the area.
He said his administration would work hard to deliver good governance to the people, assuring that the state would withness massive deployment of resources to develop both human and capital projects.
Bello maintained that his choice of an experienced and a professional, Engr. Abubakar Ohere as commissioner of works underscores his genuine intention to aggressively address infrastructural challenge of the state, particularly in the road and the housing sector.
While assuring that all the infrastructural deficit across the state are well captured in his development plan, Bello said “Ohere is the right peg in the right hole, to ensure that we deliver on the infrastructural needs of our people.
“We are going to continue to work assiduously as if this is our first term as far as delivery of good governance to the people of Kogi state is concerned.
Speaking further, Bello said ” I can assure you that every issue you think you know relating to infrastructural development, not only in the state capital, but across the state have been captured by this administration.We are going to do more than you even expected. He assured.
