Media Guru, Mich Abu Celebrates Golden birthday with Orphanage in Lokoja
Mr. Mich Abu, a media guru and Chief Press Secretary to former deputy Governor of Kogi State, Mr. Yomi Awoniyi, today celebrated his golden Jubilee as he attained 50 years of age.
As part of activities to mark the day, Mr. Mich Abu held a small celebration at his House in Ganaja Village, Lokoja attended by few church members, friends, collegues and family members.
The celebration takes a new turn when the celebrant along with family and collegues visited the STAGI CORNERSTONE ORPHANAGE Home in Fehintolu, Lokoja to felicitate with the children.
The media guru and present chairman, Correspondent chapel of NUJ gave out cash and food items to the motherless, as concern for the homeless children.
Mr. Mich said his decision to mark his 50th birthday with orphans and the less privileged in the society was to appreciate God’s kindness and mercies upon his life, noting that there was no better way to appreciate God than to show love to them.
He opined that children in the orphanage homes should be the collective responsibility of members of the society, even as he commended the efforts of the management of the orphanage home, under the leadership of Mrs. Larra Owoshagba, in ensuring that the children are groomed to face future challenges like other children in the society.
He also used the occasion to challenge the children to aspire for leadership positions in the country while praying that God would grant each and everyone of them their heart desires; saying their present position is no limitation to the height they can attained in life.
The orphanage children sang and prayed for the celebrant.
