ODA tasks Gov. Bello on completion of projects in Okunland

The people of Okunland has pledged their supports to the administration of governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, while reminding the governor to hasten in completing projects initiated in his first term in the area
The people who spoke through the Okun Development Association, ODA (the highest socio cultural group of the land) in a congratulation letter sent to the governor after his supreme Court victory.
The letter sighted by PEOPLES DEFENDER signed by its President and Secretary General, Chief Femi Mokikan and Pastor Ayo Abereoran respectively rads apart, “Sir, Your victory did not come to us as a surprise, owing to your avowed and demonstrated belief, trust and confidence in Allah.
“This has all along guided you in providing leadership to our dear state. The Apex court has spoken, and the message is clear – THERE IS NO NEED TO CHANGE A WINNING TEAM. YOUR EXCELLENCY, this victory, which is for the entire good people of Kogi state, aptly demonstrates the undeniable fact that politics today is tilting towards popular acceptability and grassroots connectivity.
“It would have been the height of absurdity to have decided other, given the territorial spread of your Electoral successes across the three senatorial districts during the election last November., Which was a clear attestation that the people of Kogi state has made a loud and unambiguous statement as to who they wish to see lead them in the next four years.
“While pledging the unalloyed support of the good people of Okunland at home and in disapora to you and your administration, we are assured that you will always remember the common saying that the reward for good work is more work. This all-round victory has therefore challenged your Excellency to the greater tasks ahead as we work together to place the state in an enviable position amongst the states of the federation. With the distractions arising from the series of litigations behind us, it is now time to frontally take these enourmous tasks in human, social and infrastructural development head on.
“While praying for your Excellency to achieve your lofty dreams for the growth and development of our dear state, we wish to implore you to remember the good people of Okun nation, especially in the area of creating a conducive environment for all stakeholders in the state to aspire and actualize their aspirations to any leadership position in the state. In addition, we look forward to the commissioning of some of the infrastructural projects that were flagged off in different parts of Okunland during your first term in office, while hoping new ones would be flagged off so as to give the stage the all -round development it deserves.
“Please, your Excellency, be rest assured that the ODA will be available to provide support in any/every area you consider necessary to realize the Kogi of Our dream”.
