The Okun Development Association, ODA, has extend a hand of fellowship to the new executive of Ijumu Development Union, IDU, promising their cooperation as they run their offices.
ODA made this known in a statement on Saturday which reads apart.
“Okun Development Association (ODA) received with excitement the news of the outstanding success recorded at just concluded Ijumu Development Union (IDU) Annual Congress at its new National Secretariat in Iyara, which also produced a new set of National Executive Officers under the leadership of the new National President, Mr Kayode Olorunmaiye, to run the affairs of the Union for the next two years.
We at ODA rejoice with and congratulate the new team for the privilege of this unique opportunity to be called to serve the Ijumu people in this capacity. We pray that Jehovah God will grant you all that you need to leave an enduring, admirable and enviable legacy at the end of your tenure.
It is instructive to observe that the new National President, Mr Olorunsaiye, has already captured very succinctly the areas of focus of his team to include activities that will promote unity, security of lives, properties, farmlands and farm produce, and physical development among others. Interestingly, these are challenges that are of great concern to us at the ODA. We therefore look forward to the continuation of the robust engagement that has existed between us and the former Executive committee of Ijumu Development Union, under the able and proactive leadership of Mr Taiwo Atibioke, so that we can continue to collaborate in frontally dealing with these challenges and many others.
We pray that your team will, during its tenure, be able to harness the rich background of the individual Executive members into a united and focused team for the benefit of Ijumu people in particular and Okun people as a whole.
God will grant you wisdom, maturity and character to deliver effectively on your mandate.
Congratulations once again
