The Omala Traditional Council has completed all arrangements for the conferment of a prestigious chieftaincy title of Ochada Onu Ife on Abuja based businessman and politician, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris, who is also of the Ojogba Ife royal lineage.
A letter from the palace of Onu Ife (Ojogba) HRH Boniface Usman Musa confirming the conferment was dispatched to the awardee last week Thursday.
The turbanning ceremony will hold on Saturday, 26th February in the palace of the traditional ruler in Abejukolo at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
Abubakar’s public profile has been on the increase since his impressive aspiration for the Kogi State People’s Democratic Party, PDP governorship ticket in 2019. His current honour as Ochada which literally means ‘hunter,’ ‘defender’ or ‘supporter’ of the traditional institution underscores his efforts at community service.
He has since accepted the honour.
