Former House of Representatives candidate for Yagba Federal Constituency, Hon. Kayode Adegboyega Olomo has extoled the virtues of governor Yahaya Bello’s mother, Hajia Hauwau Bello; one year after her death.
Late Hajia Hauwau Bello died a year ago, precisely on March 15, 2020 at the age of 101.
Olomo who spoke on the sideline of one year commemoration of her death, described her as the reason why Governor Yahaya Bello has shown so much parity for the women’s folks.
He said, “Exactly a year ago, you bid the world farewell. You were an embodiment of love, strength, comfort and greatness to our governor.
“It is obvious that your love, concern, training and virtues to the governor was superb, second to none. You shared a special bond with the governor. No doubt, it is that bond coupled with your rare wisdom and values that has made your son, Governor Yahaya Bello to reciprocate the gesture by giving so much commitment to inclusiveness of women in goverrnance.
“Little wonder that the National Council of Women Society, NCWS, could not hold their joy but eulogised the Governor’s role to the women folks by honouring him as the ‘Most Women Sensitive Governor’ in Nigeria.
“Thank you for making your son, governor Yahaya Bello, your best friend and confidant, whom you loved truly and purely. Thank you for correcting him, guiding and guarding him, protecting him even until your death. Thank you for being firm and not weak in the values you instilled in him. You really trained him well.
“Today, the women folks enjoys the love, support and guidance you gave him while alive. You may be gone but your legacy lives through him.”
