RAINSTORM WRECK HAVOC IN YAGBA WEST, AS COUNCIL CHAIRMAN SYMPATHIZES WITH VICTIMS

…Promises To Seek Government Assistance

The Executive chairman of Yagba West Local Government Council, Hon. Pius Kolawole on Saturday rounded off his tour of communities affected by rainstorm in Yagba west promises to seek state and federal government assistance for the affected communities.

The chairman in company of the vice-chairman, Hon. (Mrs) Balogun Eunice during the visit to affected communities expressed shock, regret the unfortunate incidence.

Hon. Pius who sympathizes with the victims and affected communities whose roofs were completely removed by the rainstorm, promised to seek government assistant for the affected communities and individuals so as to cushion the effect of the disaster.

“This is a disaster too many, it is very unfortunate that this is happening at this critical time, I can assure you that we shall bring these to the attention of the state and federal government for possible assistance towards alleviating your suffering.” Pius said.

Recall that many people in Yagba West have been rendered homeless by the rainstorm which occurred on Wednesday 21 April,2021

Among property affected are schools, private houses in Egbe, Ejiba, Odo-Ere, Odo-Ara, Okoloke, Ogga and Okunran.
