Relief As Hon Leke Abejide paid WAEC fees of all students in Yagba federal constituency.

Hon Leke Abejide, The house of Representative member, yagba federal constituency has paid for WAEC fees for students in both public and private secondary schools in Yagba federal constituency.

A total number of 73 schools in Public and private Secondary Schools across his constituency benefited from the gesture.

Hon Leke Abejide paid the sum directly to the schools account based on the directive from WAEC office for accountability.

Recall that Hon Leke Abejide had promised to take the burden of the payment of WAEC fees in all public and private secondary schools off parents’ necks to cushion the effects of hardship and relief the parents of the burden. Hon Leke Abejide is indeed a man of his words.

He promised in his campaign manifestos that he will take the burden of WAEC fees off the parents across yagba federal constituency, which he has fulfilled and still fulfilling.

The Director General Hon Leke Abejide, chief Shola Adebola Samuel in his reaction said that, “The gesture by the House of representative member was part of the determination to bring joy and succour to parents in his constituency, and alleviate the financial burden of parents in educating their children.

Chief shola Adebola samuel said This is a promise kept; and it’s not in any way, going to be politicised because our students deserve better.

It is in line with the commitment of our House of representative member, Hon leke Abejide Redeemed Agenda under which we have Educational Advancement and Human Development.

The chairman Yagba East traditional council, HRM Oba Moses Babatunde Etombi The Agbana of Isanlu kingdom, thanked Hon Leke Abejide for the kind gestures. In his message, the Royal father said “Education is the movement from darkness to light and an investment in education pays the best interest.”

He further charged the students to be more serious in their education endeavors and prayed for the peace, unity and development of our land and nation in general.

The chairman Yagba East Local Government ably represented by his chief of staff Hon Bunmi Babalola praised Hon Leke Abejide for his statesmanship and love for the less privileged.

The parents, guidance, teachers, students, stakeholders were full of joy, thanked Hon Leke for doing the right things at this critical time.

Hon Leke Abejide philosophy has always been, don’t just be the star out there, let other stars shine too; share the power. Hon Leke Abejide is indeed sharing the power through educational development.

For record purpose, going through the statistics of the SS3 students who enrolled for WAEC and NECO in the year 2019/2020 academic session: In WAEC 100% paid for the WAEC fees via Hon Leke Abejide foundation. In NECO Examination, verifiable record has it that less than 40% students across yagba registered for NECO Examination.

Hon Leke Abejide is indeed a consistent and trustworthy personality.

In our contemporary society (Nigeria) we have three major sectors; politics, commerce and education. Out of these three major sectors, education is the most Paramount. We cannot make waves in other two sectors without education, since education is a gift that can never be bought in the market.
