Senator Smart Adeyemi of Kogi West Senatorial district has continued to make waves at the ECOWAS parliamentary holding in Niamey, capital of Niger.
Adeyemi is amongst 10 other members of Nigerian senators that was appointed as delegates to join other senators across the West Africa country for the session.
The members of the ECOWAS parliamentarians are serving an oversights functions on issues bordering on the African western countries.
The ECOWAS Parliament opened for the 5th Session of the legislatures sittings.
Since the session opens, Senator Adeyemi has been busy and vocal on the floor, making positive contributions to the admirations of other members.
The senator has also been courting good relationship with other members outside the sittings.
The contributions of the former NUJ president has received commendations from leaders of the ECOWAS parliaments. A development that has earned Adeyemi due recognitions time to time for him to make vital contributions on many sundry issues.
However, the ECOWAS parliamentarians led by the Speaker, Moustapha Cisse Lo, amongst other issues are urging the Federal Government to reopen its border, which they said its hampering free trade amongst the ECOWAS communities.
The ECOWAS Parliament also considered the budget of ECOWAS institutions, as they are mainly tasked with considering the draft consolidated budget of the Community.
The session which opened on 9th March is expected to come to a close on Tursday, as Nigeria delegates are expected to make their returns back to Nigeria latest Friday.
