Senator Adeyemi Sympathises With Tawari People Over Militia Attacks
The Senator representing Kogi West at the Nigerian Senate, Senator Smart Adeyemi has commiserated with Tawari community in Kogi local government Area of Kogi State over the Friday invasion of the community by militia that left 24 persons dead.
Senator Adeyemi in a statement from his Media team on Saturday and made available to newsmen described the invasion as cannibalistic and barbaric in nature.
Adeyemi enjoined the state security architecture to join hands with Gov. Yahaya Bello in reducing insecurity to the barest minimal in the state as security is one of the most focused area of governance of Gov. Yahaya Bello.
He warned against any external forces posing to perpetrate violence in the name of politics to desist from such devilish act.
Adeyemi who commended the urgent intervention of Kogi State government in curbing crimes by swinging to action, urged security apparatus to ensure that the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to book.
While calling on the security agencies to double their efforts to curb the reoccurrence of such menace of kidnapping in the country, he said, “I wish to reiterate the resolve of the 9th Senate to work hand-in-hand with the state governments of the federation and relevant governmental agencies in finding lasting solutions to the tide of crimes.”
