Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has cautioned local governed ministrations from frevolius visitations to the state capital, said they must remained in their respective council areas to overlook the administrations of the area.
The warning was contsined in a statement by the Media Aide to the state Commiaaioner for Local Govwrnment And Chieftaincy Affairs, sequel to a meeting by the commissioner with the 21 LGA administrators.
The statement read apart;
Earlier today, the Hon. Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Salami Momodu Ozigi (Deedat) held a critical meeting with the twenty-one (21) Local Government administrators and the following directives were given:
- Henceforth, all the local government administrators must remain in their various local Government areas.
Any administrator found going against this warning shall be queried and be desciplined appropriately.
- The state government has equally directed all LGAs to institute a task force to sanitise traditional institution that has been observed to be infiltrated with unauthorized traditional chiefs.
This means henceforth, any one found parading himself in traditional chiefs’ regalia without the authority of the government would be apprehended and duly charged to court for impersonation and be dealt with decisively.
