The Special Adviser to the governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. ‘Femi Bolaji today in company of the Hon. Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Victor Omofaiye and other state functionaries visited the popular Mount Patty in Lokoja to have an on spot assessment as a follow up of ongoing discussions and delibreation on how to bring life back and make the tourist mountain work again.
The visit according to Hon. Femi afforded the state officials the opportunity to inspect the extent of cleaning, clearing and fumigation exercise to be carried out in other to keep the tourists mountain in pristine condition at all time.
The team also took out time to monitor the activities of illegal wood loggers who have been encroaching on the reserved forest of the mountain to carry out illegal tree cutting.
Other officials to make the tour are: the Director of Sanitation Mr. V Falodun and the Director of Forestry Mr. A Adam
Hon. Femi Bolaji gave assurances of the present administration’s commitment to making Mount Patti work again and making it one of the most visited tourist centre in Nigeria.
