“The decision to vote APC in the last election has started yielding positive result. Now that the zone belongs to the party in the state and the central, the difference is now clear.
“All the senators in the state make a move to the ministry of works and tabled our problems before the Minister; which prompted the Minister to visit and see the problems in the state as far as federal projects are concerned.
“And we were able to put the roads in the last budget. But when the Covid19 effect reduced the income from oil revenue, there was need to have a revised budget. It then become a struggle for each senators to ensued that projects that are dear to their constituency are not tampered with.
“I know the efforts, struggles and compromise I made to ensure that the road projects remains in the budget.
“My joy is the fact that the road which has never been constructed before will be carried out during my term. I remembered that I spoke with the Maiyagi of Eggan that I will ensued that the road is constructed during my time; you can now imagine my joy that just few months after I returned to the Senate, the road has received the approval of the Federal government.
“The approval for the Iluke – Abugi – Eggan road is just a tip of the iceberg, more dividend of democracy is coming. Before the end of the year, one out of the Kabba – Ilorin road or Kabba – Omuo road will be approved and works will commence too.
“The people of Kogi West has taken the best decision to align with the party at the central, they can now sit back, relax and see the dividend of democracy roll in.”
