Kogi State Government is to inject new pillars of information and Communication strategy for uptimal performance of the sector.
The State Commissioner of Information and Communication Hon Kingsley Fanwo made this known in his office today during a Strategic meeting with Public Relations Officer from the 21 Local Government areas of the state.
Mr Fanwo While Addressing the Public Relations Officers Said that the essence of the meeting is to build a robust pillars of information and dissemination between the State Government and the Council areas.
The Commissioner Also disclosed that the State Executive Council would soon create a State information council that would be saddled with the responsibility creating effective synergy on information management both at the state and local government level .
He added that Information Managers at the State and local government level must always have a common ground of explanations on issues of Governance in the State.
The Commissioner Also charged the Public Relations Officer to collate activities and Achievements of their council areas for the anniversary edition of the ministry Quarterly magazine Doing More.
Speaking on the newly Lunched Confluence Business Directory, Mr Fanwo noted that so much grassroots Sensitization Campaign is required from the Officer and they are to take responsibility of being the brand ambassador of the project in the areas.
Saying that the Ministry have been giving the mandate to enlist not less than 10 000 businesses before the end of the year.
Earlier in address the leader of the forum of Local Government Public Relations Officers Mr Ayo Olukayode appeal to the Commissioner to use his good Office in facilitating capacity training for them and operational impress for their office in order to ensure efficiencies.
He used the opportunity to request that as image Markers Government at the council areas there is urgent need for capacity building for them.
